As a commercial or residential property owner, it is your duty to perform regular fire risk assessments. Not only does it provide peace of mind for your employees or residents, it is a legal requirement according to the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO).

A fire risk assessment should help you identify all the fire hazards and risks in your premises. You will then be able to decide whether the risks identified are acceptable or whether you need to take steps to reduce or control them.

A risk assessment should be carried out by someone who has had sufficient training, and has good experience and/or knowledge of fire safety.
